I am a big fan of agua fresca and love making it during the warmer weather. To celebrate the Labor Day and the final days of summer, I decided to use a watermelon as the main component and added a touch of rose water to add a floral element. I also used honey instead of refined sugar so this isn't as sweet and is a healthier option.
Wanna spike the punch? You can add a little vodka or gin if you're feeling boozy.
1 small watermelon
2 tablespoons rose water
4 tablespoons honey
Fresh mint for a garnish
Take the rind off of the watermelon and blend in a high-speed blender.
Use a fine mesh strainer to strain out the watermelon pulp and strain into another container.
Put watermelon juice back into the blender and add the juice from two limes, rose water and honey.
Blend together for about 30 seconds.
Serve over an ice cube and garnish with fresh mint.
