I love Garlic

Garlic has been a staple in my life since I my early twenties, when I shifted my lifestyle and started eating for health.  It's my go-to for assistance with any common illness and is a favorite in the kitchen.  Garlic is also a real powerhouse packed with so many benefits including immune system boosting, hypertension relief, lowers cholesterol, preserves the brain, is antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, assist with heavy metal detox and strengthens bones. 

Here are my three favorite ways to take garlic

1. With avocado

My all time favorite snack is organic blue corn chips with avocado.  I make guacamole by using one avocado, 1 clove of garlic minced, a squeeze of lemon or lime, a pinch of salt, a little chopped red onion and some red chili flakes.  I also use this same recipe for avocado toast.

2. Potatoes

I cut organic red potatoes into 1/2 inch pieces ad boil until almost soft.  Then I transfer potatoes to a hot cast iron with safflower oil.  After crisp and golden brown toss with minced garlic, dried rosemary and a little salt.

3. Salad dressing

When I dress salads at home, I use a couple tablespoons organic olive oil, squeeze from a lemon, a pinch of salt, any fresh herbs I have on hand and a clove of garlic.  It's so easy and a healthy way to add garlic and herbs to your day.
