Yesterday, Bryan came in from working outside and had a pretty intense tank top outline on his body and his shoulders were bright red. I hope that at this point, he knows that sunblock is routine but, dudes are dudes and don't take the same precautions that women do to protect their skin. I decided that since this isn't our first time nursing burnt skin and I know it will happen again, I should make something to apply in case anyone in our family forgets to apply before going outside. I made this easy after-sun-spray with some ingredients I had on-hand. It's going in my beach bag along with my favorite sunscreen to soothe our summer skin this season.
After Sun Spray
- Gel from two aloe leaves
- 2 capsules vitamin e
- 1/2 cup alcohol-free witch hazel (this is my favorite)
- 10 drops lavender oil
- All all ingredients to a 4 oz spray bottle and shake vigorously until mixed. Apply to sun kissed skin.
